After clearing an area, it's worth taking a second look at your surroundings. Backtrack and look for any drops you didn't pick up. Check the nooks and crannies, sometimes you can find chests and boxes hidden away in the least obvious areas such as holes and side paths. Look at mountainsides, cliffs, and rock formations. Resources you can harvest can be camouflaged and not so obvious.
